Terms of Service

These terms of service apply to the website activeweb.no and to the web applications and integrations operated by ActiveWEB AS (Lavaløkka 40, 3442 Hyggen, Norway), including applications that connect to Google services such as Google AdSense (the «Services»). By using the Services you accept these terms.

1. The Services

ActiveWEB provides web hosting, domains, e-mail, web and app development and related integrations. Some applications let you connect a Google account so that data from Google services (for example AdSense performance reports) can be shown to you. Customer agreements, quotes and order confirmations take precedence over these general terms where they differ.

2. Your account and Google connection

• You may only connect accounts you are authorised to use, for yourself or on behalf of the company you represent.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for activity under your account.
• You can disconnect your Google account at any time in the application or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Access is then stopped and the stored tokens are deleted.
• Use of Google services is also governed by Google’s Terms of Service and the terms of the Google product in question (for example the AdSense Terms and Conditions).

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services to break the law, infringe the rights of others, send spam, spread malware, try to gain unauthorised access to systems or data, or overload our infrastructure. We may suspend Services that are used in breach of these terms or that threaten security or stability, and will notify you where possible.

4. Data and privacy

Our processing of personal data, including data received from Google APIs, is described in our Privacy Policy. Data you or your company own remains yours. Google user data is used only to provide the features you have requested, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

5. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability and take regular backups, but the Services are provided «as is» and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may change or discontinue features; significant changes will be announced in advance where practical.

6. Prices and payment

Paid services are invoiced as agreed in the quote or order confirmation. Unpaid invoices may lead to suspension of the service after notice. Prices are stated excluding VAT unless otherwise stated.

7. Intellectual property

ActiveWEB retains the rights to its software, templates and know-how. Content, logos and data supplied by the customer remain the customer’s property. Delivered custom work is licensed or transferred as set out in the customer agreement.

8. Limitation of liability

ActiveWEB is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or loss of data beyond what follows from mandatory law. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service in the last 12 months. Figures shown from third-party services (such as Google AdSense) are provided by those services; the third party’s own reports are authoritative.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. Subscriptions are terminated according to the agreed notice period. When an application account is closed, connected Google tokens and related data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be sought resolved amicably; otherwise they are settled by the Norwegian courts, with Buskerud tingrett as the agreed venue for business customers.
